What Happens When RoboUP Mowers Run Out of Battery?

Maple Z. - 2024/11/17

Ever wondered what to do when your lawn mower runs out of power mid-task? Do you lift it by yourself and take it back to the Charging Station? Call your neighbors to help? Or just hire a lawn care service to maintain your lawn? When it comes to re-charging your robot mower, RoboUP implements Auto-Recharge to eliminate these headaches. Thanks to our Breakpoint System, RoboUP mowers are able to pick up right where it left off after recharge.

How Efficient Is RoboUP T1200 Pro's Auto-Recharge?

RoboUP T1200 Pro is powered by a 5.0Ah lithium-ion battery. When the battery dips below 20%, the mower automatically heads back to the Charging Station. After a 100-minute recharge, it resumes mowing at the exact spot it stopped, covering up to 130㎡ in one go.

How Does Breakpoint System Work?

Let's get technical! Before the battery drops below 20%, the mower records its exact position using a combination of RTK (Real-Time Kinematic), INS (Inertial Navigation System), and vSLAM (Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) to ensure precise mapping. The mower will then automatically navigate back to the Charging Station, using the recorded position to track its route. Once fully charged (approximately 100 minutes), the mower retrieves the stored coordinates and returns to the exact point where it stopped. The mower continues mowing from that breakpoint, ensuring seamless coverage and preventing uncut patches or redundant passes. By implementing these steps, the RoboUP T1200 Pro achieves precise, continuous mowing without gaps, delivering a professional finish even in complex garden layouts.

To ensure that the mower continues to mow straight after reaching the breakpoint, RoboUP utilizes a combination of RTK for precise accuracy, INS for reliable tracking in low-signal areas, and vSLAM for visual mapping. This multi-sensor fusion effectively integrates these technologies, guaranteeing dependable navigation and allowing the mower to resume precisely from the breakpoint after recharging.

How Technical Is Too Technical?

From this exploration of RoboUP's Auto-Recharge and unique breakpoint system, it's clear that advanced multi-sensor fusion and AI optimization have taken the hassle out of lawn care. No more gaps, no redundant coverage, just a well-maintained, uninterrupted lawn! What else would you want to know about your robot lawn mower's efficiency and performance? Whether it's the power efficiency, mapping accuracy, or additional features, welcome to join our official RoboUP community and share your ideas with global users!
