Hello friends! We’re excited to share a quick recap of our recent Q&A series, where the RoboUP community came together to exchange ideas, tips, and experiences with our robot mowers. The engagement and insightful feedback we received on our RoboUP mower was amazing. Here’s a quick summary of the September 2024 Q&A with some FAQ that lead our community to learn more about our robot mowers. Let’s take a look at the highlights!
Q&A Highlights: RTK Robot Mower
Throughout the series, we provided a variety of questions with some key tips helping users to get the best performance from their RoboUP robotic mower. Here are some of the standout tips that emerged from our Q&A campaign:
Auto-Mapping Efficiency: For Auto-Mapping, our robot mower performs best with clear boundaries, such as slate borders, tree fences, wooden fences, stone walls, and more.
RTK Base Station Placement: The RTK Base Station should be placed in an open or elevated location for the best signal reception.
Tree Coverage & RTK Signal: For the best RTK signal, ensure that tree coverage around the lawn’s edge is less than 30%.
Hopefully these tips help you get a better understanding on how to optimize your mower’s performance!
What We Learned From You
The best part of our Q&A series has been the invaluable feedback we’ve gathered from our users. Here are some notable insights:
When there is no suitable location on the ground, a compatible wall-mounting component can be used to install the RTK Base Station on a roof or wall for better signal reception. - Maurizio Solio
The best spot for the RTK Base Station is one with a clear view of the sky & distance from reflective surfaces. Places that are closer to your house may face potential obstructions, especially from the roof and walls. - Thomas Mantot
Mounting an RTK antenna as high as possible for a robot lawn mower offers several advantages in terms of signal quality and accuracy. This includes improved signal reception and line of sight, reduced signal reflections, extended range of RTK system, better consistency and availability, and minimization of interference. Overall, mounting the RTK antenna higher ensures more precise and stable positioning for the lawn mower robot, improving its efficiency and reliability in operation. - Daniel B. P
We’re grateful to our users for these fantastic tips and suggestions. Your input helps us improve not just our products but also the experience of everyone in the RoboUP community.
