On May 26th, RoboUP hosted a Raccoon 2 SE Livestream Demo Event, bringing together users, testers, influencers, and RoboUP’s global community for a deep dive into the latest updates, real-world performance, and frequently asked questions about the Raccoon 2 SE.
Since its official launch on March 18th, the Raccoon 2 SE robotic lawn mower has quickly become one of the most talked-about vision-based robotic lawn mowers on the market.

Feature Demonstrations
Live Demo 1: Full-Map Parallel Mowing
One of the biggest highlights of the event was the demonstration of Full-Map Parallel Mowing.
This feature was developed directly with feedback from our beta testers and Kickstarter backers, who asked for cleaner mowing patterns, higher efficiency, and a more professional lawn finish.
Raccoon 2 SE is now one of the first vision-based robot mowers capable of full-map parallel mowing.
Compared to traditional random mowing, it can improve efficiency by up to 1.6x, resulting in:
- Faster mowing
- Better battery usage
- Clean, striped lawn patterns
During the demo, we walked through how easy it is to start Full-Map Parallel Mowing in the app.
Live Demo 2: Ground Stake Boundary Setup
The livestream featured a demonstration of ground stake boundary setup, showing how physical boundaries can help improve mowing accuracy and ensure the mower stays within the designated mowing area.
Key setup recommendations included:
- Installing stakes along lawn boundaries
- Maintaining approximately 40cm spacing between stakes
- Creating clear physical boundaries for the best performance
Live Demo 3: Multi-Zone Mapping
Multi-Zone Mapping was another major feature during the event.
Designed for homes with multiple lawn sections, this feature allows Raccoon 2 SE to travel smoothly between different mowing zones automatically.
The livestream walkthrough covered:
- Placing beacons in each zone
- Aligning beacon direction arrows
- Creating connecting paths through the app
Once setup is complete, different zones can operate with separate mowing schedules and settings.
Live Demo: Scheduled Mowing
The team also showed users how to set mowing schedules directly through the app.
Scheduled Mowing is one of the most important features when it comes to modern lawn care, as it allows you to set mowing times and customize daily schedules. With this feature users can experience automated daily lawn maintenance with just a few taps in the app.
Real User Experiences
During the livestream, clips from beta testers Daniel and Leo were featured, showcasing how Raccoon 2 SE performs in real garden environments.
Both users also played an important role in the development of Full-Map Parallel Mowing, helping expand the mower’s parallel mowing capability from 80m² to full-lawn coverage.
